TunePlus, Inc Flex Fuel Kit & OEM+ Feature Pack for 2016-2018 Ford Focus RS
Please note pictures will be updated soon, the kit now includes a Motiv Flex Fuel Controller instead of the Zeitronix pictured. Instructions will be updated as well as nothing needs to be installed inside the vehicle any longer.
The TunePlus, Inc Flex Fuel kit allows the vehicle to be able to accommodate for any ethanol blend between 0-85% automatically without having to flash a new tune or switch map slots. The kit features a new feed line to place an ethanol content sensor between the factory feed from tank to the high pressure fuel pump, mounted securely to the battery box with a custom 3D printed bracket. This sensor will send data to a MOTIV FlexFuel+ Controller which will translate the ethanol content sensor input to a CAN Bus output that will connect into your vehicles CAN bus network.
From there a custom tune via our Exclusive Partnership w/ PCMtec will be provided that allows the ECU to see the ethanol content and make adjustments as needed via blend curve. This curve blends your low power (pump gas) tune with your high power (ethanol fuel) tune based on ethanol content. Allowing you to run any mixture you would like and have a wide range of power levels with zero hassle.
Additionally if you don't want to have an ethanol content gauge in your vehicle it will be displayed where your cruise control MPH is on the dash when you start the car and hit "Cruise Control On" during the new dash gauge sweep.
Along with full flex fuel capability, we have added some other fun stuff, called OEM+ Features, with our tuning software like Rolling Boost, Boost on Launch, True full Map Switching, selectable throttle cut launch control, and user selectable ethanol content, all through the factory steering wheel controls.
OEM+ Features can be used by itself and does not require a flex fuel system, just select "OEM+ Feature Pack" in the drop down and you will receive a flashing cable, software credits, and then the tuning service to add the features to your current tune. !Warning!
Do not connect the CAN Bus Wires (Green/Yellow) until instructed during the tuning process. If connected before the ECU is setup to look for the incoming data, the vehicle will not start and your dash will show every warning light you’ve never seen before.

New Customers:
Your vehicle must be tuned by TunePlus, Inc before installation. If you are not currently a TunePlus, Inc customer you will need to purchase a Dual Fuel tune on our website before installing your TunePlus, Inc Flex Fuel Kit. We will need to create two separate tunes for your choice of pump gas, and then full E85. These will be the tunes that will be blended together based on ethanol content percentage. This applies to the OEM+ Feature Pack as well.
Current Customers:
Sorry in advance, this part may be a little confusing..
All previously completed tunes need to be redone in order for the new software to work correctly. So even though you may have a completed Pump Gas and E85 tune, they will both need to be retuned in order for it to import into the new software properly.
If you purchased a single tune originally, you will need to purchase 2x ReTunes on our website ($200.00 Total). The first ReTune will cover retuning for your current fuel, and the second will cover tuning for the second fuel.
If you purchased a dual fuel tune originally, you will need to purchase 1x ReTune to cover setting up both of your current tunes to work with the new software. If your dual fuel tune didn’t include a full E85 tune, then you will need to purchase a second ReTune to cover full E85 tuning. For example if you did a dual fuel tune and tuned for 91oct and E30, the E30 tune does not cover tuning for E85.
Vehicle Requirements:

If the vehicle is on a factory turbo, you will need an XDI EVO fuel pump

If the vehicle is on an upgraded turbo, you will need an XDI EVO Pump and Injectors

For built engine customers, you can use the same XDI EVO Pump and Injectors up to 550whp on full E85. If you plan to make more than 550whp then we would need to do XDI60 pump and 2000cc injectors.

Port Injection cannot be used with our kit, must be factory ECU controlled fuel upgrades. (Update 12/5/2025 - We now have port injection support, email tuning@adamtuned.com until we get a chance to add it to our website)
